As a teenager, David worked in a local xưởng mộc (woodshop), trimming core veneer, patching surface defects, and loading panels for nearby customers. There, he realized two things: the unmatched work ethic of Vietnamese artisans, and the heartbreaking fact that their efforts were rarely rewarded globally. Factories had no access to foreign buyers, and products lacked certification.

David chose to bridge that gap. He studied international trade, learned to communicate with buyers in India, the Middle East, and Europe, and envisioned a future where Vietnam plywood could be synonymous with excellence — not only price.

From Idea to Infrastructure

Today, HCPLY is not just a brand — it is a network, a standard, and a mission-driven ecosystem. David’s leadership philosophy is rooted in inclusion and empowerment. Rather than centralizing everything in one facility, he has:
